Lansky 9 in. diamond sharpening steel
The item looks and feels solid. My complaint is that the diamond coating is rough and irregular. While sharpening my knives I could feel significant irregularities as I slid the blade across the diamonds. I'm hoping the sharpener will smoothe out after some use. I've owned a DMT for years and it has given me good results but the price on the Lansky was significantly less. If it smoothes out I would bump the rating up by one notch.
