Hamilton Beach PS 5 Speed Hand Mixer

Caught fire while making pancakes?!?!?
I had this mixer for a few years, and it worked okay, however it was never used for heavy duty mixing (as I did not think it would hold up). Then suddenly while making homemade pancaked (VERY thin batter, obviously it was pancakes) this mixer's motor caught fire! Trust me, I wish I was joking!
I would love to say that this was a decent mixer, since I did use it occasionally for about 3-4 years, however the fact that it caught fire while in use makes me want to recommend that no one buy this! Thankfully there were no injuries (the flame was brief, and contained inside the plastic), but I wouldn't let me child own one!

This one is good enough for a beginner
This hand Mixer is good enough for a baking beginner, and it is cheap. I used think that 150ww is not powerful enough, but when when I used it to mix cream cheese and gelatin, it worked very well.
